I fancy a console. But ive got young kids (8 yo). Whatever I buy they will end up playing with. So i thought a switch would fit the bill nicely.

But the things that draw my eye are the likes of Forza, COD etc.

So what 'grown up' games are there on the switch for when the kids are on bed?

Or is the switch just a 'toy'?

Xenoblade chronicles 2.... I plan on buying a switch when they come down in price purely to play this one title. The previous entries in the series are some of the best JRPGs ever made.

Buy it play Mario Kart with kids and online until your bored of it.

Get Splatoon 2 (free demo this week).

I'm sure if you tire of it you will hardly lose anything on resale value unless you buy unpopular games. Zelda didn't barely depreciate when I bought and sold that within 3 month. Pretty good game, but wasn't addictive like Splatoon.

I personally believe you need the Pro controller(s)

I have a switch but bought it purposefully for Zelda - breath of the wild. I have PC and PS4 and Xbone for other stuff like you mention but I believe you can still play fortnight on the switch.

You can also get dark souls (good luck), doom (brilliant and intense), Skyrim (give it a chance it is brilliant) Wolfenstein etc. Also a solid number of scrolling shooter games such as Sine Mora.

Might be worth a look.
