Battery extraction

Hi
After undoing all the usual bolts and connections I cannot raise my battery the only movement I get is a sideways slide,I own a 997 GTS and a Boxster S the Boxster S battery was replaced without problem 2 months ago. I have changed numerous car batteries in the past and not had this problem,I even stand in the boot to give me better leverage but it just won't budge can anyone enlighten me on what I am missing?

No need to reply thanks the answer was to tilt the battery prior to lifting.
