Anyone used it?
My daughter has raw callouses on her hands from rowing - need to get them healed pretty quickly ready for racing in a few weeks.
The one on her palm is the problem, the others don’t bother her.

Can’t really think of what to put on them.

I have not heard of that but I know of people using surgical spirit to try and harden skin

Nothing is going to make them heal faster. Trim the burst one or that flap of skin will rub. Then some neutral cream to reduce irritation and stop the raw skin drying and cracking.

Don't use anything you've got in the van.

He wasn’t there tonight and doubt she’ll see him before the weekend

Yeah, that sort of thing. It will heal as fast as it can, but if it dries and cracks in the short term it'll be more painful.

There is a limit to how much you can toughen skin - there will always be a boundary between the tough bit and the normal bit, and that's where the next bit of damage will happen. You can see the red patch beside the callus near her little finger.

Great, thanks.

If I’m honest I’m a bit surprised they’ve got this bad - she’s been rowing for years without them getting this bad.

So

Can she wear thin gloves to protect them a little? They might be worse due to sweaty hands, maybe some chalk or talc before rowing would help?

Just guessing at the above.
