Exhaust Fabricator Hertfordshire

Hello people,

Does anyone know anywhere doing exhaust fabrication in Hertfordshire? Long Life in Knebworth have gone/company no longer does it and google isnt throwing up anything.

EMP Performance based in Frogmore.

Had a full system built by them when they were st albans based and it was fantastic.... they aren't the cheapest but definately the best exhaust fabricator i've found locally over the years.

Powerflow in Bletchley did a good job with mine. £500 for a stainless cat-back system with x-pipe and my choice of silencers and tailpipes (that's a V8 with twin pipes the length of the car, so it may be a bit cheaper for single pipes). It's a few guys working out of an old industrial unit, they're not a cleanroom-level F1 outfit by a long-shot, but I'm happy with the outcome.

I went there on recommendation from a colleague, who was very happy with the work they had done on two of his cars.

I've seen one or two people on PH bh about Powerflow so perhaps they had bad experiences, or just see it as "chavvy" because you can get a custom fabricated SS system built and fitted for £500.

Top quality work, every time.

I've seen a few exhaust from the guys in Bletchley, including a family members car, and they're terrible.
Leaks everywhere, misaligned tail pipes, pigeon poop welds and exhausts falling apart going down the road! They've moved to another town to escape the reputation now.

I think EMP are very overrated. Can't even make a flange. All they do is assemble a box load of precut parts. They destroyed what was basically a brand new £1600 Magnaflow exhaust on my VXR8 by hacking it to pieces. No chance of selling that now. They also trashed the stock cats (which were being removed). Really not imptessed at all tbh. They certainly aren't what I'd call exhaust fabricators. The handyman at work made systems 100 times better for his Ducati's...

Just my 2p worth on EMP - I used them for a cat back system on my 325ti about 6 years ago - when they were St Albans based - the service was so so, relatively cheap and the system looked the part. It wasn’t complex by any means -single pipe, backbox, single exit.

I’d use them again but not on a really special car.

The motorsport company linked above look very good but I bet they’re bloody expensive.
