I’ve been thinking about opening an account with Starling. They are stating the account will be open immediately and it’s free for small volume transactions.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for opening a business bank account immediately with little hassle?

Another one for Santander thumbup Think things have changed though for new customers now. Mine is about 8 years old business account, no fees and they used to pay interest too but unfortunately that stopped.

Recently switched to Santander, £7.50 a month which im fine with.

RBS then emailed regarding switching banks. Currently "switching" to Starling bank to claim £1000 but will be closing it. So far Starling seem a bit micky mouse in their setup, little things like saying the account cant be registered to a business address.. even though its a business? I did question this and supplied my home address, no one answered me but continued to open the account.

Santander seems a safer bet.

Also free Banking with Santander for around 12 years here too.

Also get a small amount of interest per month which is a bonus.

Lloyds £30 per month on average, mostly on-line but pay in about 30 cheques per month. No cash.

Hsbc for almost 18 yrs, last yr they started charging me £5.50 a month.

On calling them up to ask why, the nice young lady said only my first 12 months should have been free, and there had been an error for the next 16 yrs.

^ This for the last year or so.

Very easy to set up and fine for a simple business, but they don't take cheques if that is a feature of your business.

That's what I have as well. I've never had any problems.

I used to be with Abbey National (and then Santander when it changed). Shower of ste they were. They were so bad, I wrote to them to say I wanted to close my account and they ignored me. For years I got a monthly statement for £0.00. Eventually they just stopped sending them, but no letter of explanation.

Metro Bank.

Open on Sundays, ideal if I have stuff to sort out.

£5 a month and pennies for external transactions.

Barclays for £5/month. I pay £6 and then getting a quid back for loyalty which sounds nice but is a right PITA for my accounting software.

I think she's BS'ing you there.

HSBC have been free up till last year, when as you say, they introduced a £5.50 fee. I had free banking for 10 years prior to that.
