Between Cars - Rent or Buy??

Ok so it looks imminently that my car may well be sold and instead of rushing into another (which I usually do!) I was considering whether it was better to rent a car for a week or so or buy a cheap snotter??

Anyone got any thoughts or experiences on a similar situation?

I've been in same situation. Surviving on lifts from the Mrs and public transport.

If you buy a snotter you'll only need to sell it again.

I was going to hire a car then found a van would be cheaper....

Yes I had considered selling on etc. I reckon it could only be 1-3 weeks max, just had a look on Kayak website and they reckon a Corsa/Fiat 500 can be had for around £8 a day!!!!! If that’s right then surely that’s a no brainer?

It’s a bit of a ball ache to be fair, usually I am out of one car and straight into the next but trying to show I have ‘grown up a bit’ and am testing different options!!!!!
