Gah! From a Nikon e-shot:
Nikon said:
D50: the digital SLR for the whole family
The new 6.1 megapixel D50 SLR is the easy, affordable way into digital photography. It's packed with features that make it easy for novices to get great results, as well as offering creative flexibility for more experienced photographers. The seven pre-programmed modes include the innovative new Child mode for cracking pictures of the kids, and there's a handy Help menu if you get stuck.

If you're going to get stuck, don't friggin' buy it!

i reckon it fires a tazer out from where the flash would usually be, which makes them sit still for a few seconds after the shock

Maybe a squeaky toy springs out of the pentaprism housing a la Zebedee 1/10th sec before the shutter fires?

How does that work then? Let's take the 350D - I guess it goes something like:

1.) Take a small ladies handbag
2.) Measure internal dimensions.
3.) design camera to not exceed internal dimensions as recorded in point 2.)

Actually that's pretty much what I said in an e-mail to them. Also something about the filling the yawning £2,000 gap between the D70 and D2X.

I don't suppose I'll get a reply

some people have small hands and don;t like a big bulky camera to carry. like your wife tells "you it's not the size that matters it's what you do with it that counts"

4) Market camera in range of pastel shades to match this summer's fashions.
5) Commission TV ad featuring Dale Winton

(NB to any 350D owners, this is entirely tongue-in cheek evil PH banter and is not intended to reflect on you personally )

And there was me getting my pink shirt out of the wardrobe and trying to find one of the wife's dresses that'll fit me . .

Bringing children into photography . . .
Nikon have a child mode
Canon can be held be a child.
