DB9 aircon compressor

My aircon compressor is leaking and needs replacement - after phoning around it turns out its a Denso item used on Jaguars as well.

I stumbled across these guys who also supply genuine Denso at a price others couldnt match - so thought I would share in case it helps others:

Looks like they supply remanufactured or a Chinese made replacements.

I would think with the labour costs involved in replacing, I would prefer to fit a new part.

they supplied a genuine Denso to me and they knew the names of people at the AM dealer who is fitting it for me - so they supply the main dealers !

I asked about recon and they won't recon this unit due to various problems they have had.

But again - everyone can make their own decision.

How much was the Denso compressor if you don't mind me asking ? My Vantage has a slight leak (found a bit of fluid the size of a 5p pence) and McGurks said the A/C compressor was weeping but it doesn't need changing just yet.

A little over £400 + vat - but it may not be the same unit for the Vantage as this was for a DB9?

Thread resurrection - I'm hunting for an air-con compressor for my Vantage as it went kaput on the way back from Le Mans.
It looks like it's a common part across several models and carries part no 6G33-19D629-AB. Anyone on here had any luck sourcing a genuine OE Denso unit without excess 'tax'? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
