Freelander 2 td4 hse and freelander 2 hst
Discussion
The HSE is comically cheap at £3100 unless it is approaching 200,000 miles. If it doesn't have this kind of mileage then it's too good to be true, there will be hidden surprises.
If the HST is also approaching 200,000 miles then it's incredibly overpriced. As another poster pointed out, the differences are purely cosmetic. An HST is maybe worth £500 more than an HSE if condition, age and mileage are similar.
If you are happy to pay the £7500 that the HST is advertised at then that should get you a good high spec Freelander around 2008 with 100000 miles or less.
If you were satisfied with your Jeep then another one might offer you a newer lower mileage car for the same money.

Thanks the hst is just at 103000 and immaculate. The guy bought it from a dealership and has had no issues at all. He appears to be changing to a family car rather than a showpiece so to speak. As stated it has full service history, no advisory’s on last mot and the guy appears to have taken care of the car like it was his child.
I was a lil concerned about the price of the hse as it’s a yr younger than the hst and done less mileage.
I’m going to look at book prices today as I’m paying cash, I’ve got him down to 7k but can maybe push a little more

That HSE sounds WAY too cheap - would avoid as must be a major issue with it or a scam
There is a nice 58 reg one in black going through BCA in about a week with 98k miles that should fetch approx £5500 (took it in p/x a few days ago and almost mint for the age/miles, but is due a service on time now) if you want to save a bit but still get a nice car
