Chaps

I'm taking my lovely missus out to London today. One of her interests is art, mainly watercolour and pencil (forgot the arty term...). Could you recommend one or to of the best to got to please? I want to make it a great day.
One other thing - what would be a really nice park in London to lay a blanket out on and watch the world go by with her?

Thanks all in advance.

I can't help on the art, but The Regents Park (Baker St tube closest) is lovely and some nice grassed areas over looking the lakes. Not far to stroll to Oxford Street and the like.

Usually I would say The Courtauld Gallery, but it is shut for a refurb.

The National Portrait Gallery gets less visits than its big brother next door, and is more enjoyable than you would think.

It's going to be a nice day, so what about a trip down the the Dulwich Picture Gallery?

Bankside Gallery is home to the Royal Watercolour Society and is next door to the Tate Modern if she has any interest in modern art too.

Tate Modern on the Southbank for more contemporary art. Great Bonnard exhibition on there too at the moment but you have to book.

Photographers Gallery off Oxford St if you like photos too.
