Suffering Heuwen, who said "big changes at Pramac the riders having to endure changes but I can't say anything due to an embargo" As we see Jack Miller in the pits sitting in front of the sponsors hoarding with lots of white blanks where the Alma sponsorship has disappeared, wearing his leathers with the Alma missing from the chest (you can still just see it).

So I wonder what the big change is? hehe

He actually said the embargo was in place until Friday. Then 15mins later Neal Hodgson sends Heuwen a message to say it's already Friday so he then explains the Alma dropped sponsorship due to a court case (googles) apparently the entire Alma office in Italy including the boss was arrested by Italian financial police on charges of major fraud.

Google (chrome) translate needed, mine does it automatically - https://it.motorsport.com/motogp/news/arrestato-lu...

Seems Alma are in trouble with the courts so deal is off. Bit like what happened with Forward a few years ago I think.

Dodgy money I would guess

Interesting that Honda's copy of the Ducati tyre cooping scoop / fin on the swingarm has been deemed illegal

From what I understand.

Ducati were able to prove that the primary role was tyre cooling, and that is the key.

It has aero use too, but they were unhappy to provide data to show that there was a tyre cooling element

Apparently, Honda submitted its own interpretation of the device ahead of Friday's running, but this was rejected as Honda stated its intended purpose was aerodynamic – a move which is rumoured to have been done intentionally to highlight the flaws in the current rules.

I think the biggest issue is that these areas of the bikes are not really covered by the existing aero rules, so Ducati are flouting their ability to use the wind tunnel and CFD, it costs a fortune.

So, new rules will have to be written to cover it all. The whole things is linked, the covers over the front whel, direct air across the lower fairing into the scoop.

Interesting to see Remy Gardner using a mass damper just stuck to his swingarm in Moto2 aswell.

I was watching the F1, so only joined with the Moto2 result/interviews on what lap did Lowes crash? I saw his start and he almost crashed at turn 1.

Perfect race for him today, as for the jump start if it ever was one the punishment does not fit the crime, should have sent Crutchlow round the penalty corner.

Watch Miller and you can see Dovi and Cal out the corner of your eye, I'd say those three riders took off at the same time.

Do they get their data from visuals or sensors on the bikes? Don't doubt that Cal might have been a fraction quicker just enough to trigger the penalty but such harsh penalty.

One would assume its technology determining the jump starts and not the human eye. That should make it pretty clear cut, regardless of how little jumping was done.
