Good evening

Listers BMW offering up what sounds like a couple decent after sales packages. I am parking the new (used) 330 on a busy intercity side street at home and a large public parking lot at work. The wife has been through 3 tyres in <1.5y thanks to construction and junkies.

SMART protect (£477 for 3y) - they will sort any scratches/damage up to 30cm long for £10 (unlimited claims up to total of £3k over 3 years). If they cannot perform repair or is >30cm they will give you £250 towards repair.

Complete wheel pack (£489 for 3y) no excess refurb on damaged alloys (up to x5) and tyre replacement if damaged/pothole/puncture (£200 per tyre limit up to maximum of 5 tyres).

Has anybody had any experience with these sorts of packages?

Keen to hear peoples opinions.

I’ve allways took the dealers wheel and tyre insurance, never had an issue with a claim and usually pays for itself

I took out the SMART insurance with the last car.

I found it really useful - parking in a station car park means lots of dings - so useful that I phoned the insurer directly after the initial 3 year period to renew it again for another 4 years.

They use their own technicians - Shine repair - generally all pretty good. I tended to wait until I had several dings to get them out to do all at the same time as it does take a while for the paint to cure.
