(I really did too! It only holds 8 cans though but since theres only 200miles between fuel stops thats plenty enough).

Nitrons - 1k very very well spent

Big Brakes - £700 what it should have had to start with

Silicone Hoses - peace of mind and pretty

S/S Coolant Pipes - as above

Smooth bore induction - better breathing, and better looking

Braided brake lines - better feel, peace of mind

Modwise lights kit - can now see at night

Modwise Boot kit - At last !! Sensible .. less frustrating

Leven bits, stalk set, engine caps - look good

ABA Sping Clips - better looking and peace of mind

Silicone HT Leads - better ignition, peace of mind

Mallory Coil - Improved ignition, looks bling !!

There are several others ... but I could be here all night...

The best spent money for changing the feel of the car is the fitting of Nitrons, they are sooo much better that the standard set up.

Good sessions on the rolling road also help to create a far better car, along with geometry setups ... don't have to spend loads of money.

Its only a small one but its a great addition to a summer drive!

Also have all the mods as johno except the expensive ones (brakes and Nitrons) which I would like, and the silicon hoses which in all honesty I can't be arsed to fit. Perhaps when I get round to tarting up the engine bay one day I'll go for the pretty colours under the bonnet though as it is the most un impressive engine to look at considering the shape and sound of the car. Sort of like an opposite TARDIS!

Also have an MP3 player which has an auto volume level (increases with speed) This is very bad for your driving license! However, it saves your credit when pulling up to the lights as the volume also automatically decreases.

Other very useful item is a battery conditioner.
Got mine new from ebay for a snip at £17 (inc delivery) and its a good one. Cut the terminals off and stuck on a cigar lighter plug so its easy to plug it in as soonas I park inthe garage. Good for quick get aways too (after 5-10mins of warming up!).

Essential mod: Steering wheel medallion holder. Relieves the neck ache on long journeys.

My Griffs in having a Sports Exhaust Conversion

and just had a phone call to say wishbone bushes knackered... so getting them all changed to Poly Bushes... (told will make big difference to feel of car.... I hope so)

I would echo johno with:

Silicone Hoses, braided hoses and the magnecore leads. I've also got SS Jubilee clips all round so much easier to adjust.

I can't really say what difference they make as they were on the car before I got them, but I have all the ACT stuff (manifods, tripple plenum, K&N filter, Tornado chip) and the car doesn't half go!!

I had an MSD ignition and Blaster 2 coil fitted to try fix a high rev misfire and generally improve smoothness of running. Can't remember exact cost. The coil was less than 100 quid I think, and £375 rings a bell for the ignition unit. Very pleased with it - engine revs much smoother. Misfire still there - probably fuel related, so will have Mark Adams look at it when I have my finances sorted.

Also planning on getting bigger brakes (probably 285mm disks + 4-pot calipers + braided hoses) to improve braking and reduce heat probs on trackdays, and adjustable shocks (Nitrons or whatever).

I'm quite pleased with the Koni sport suspension/setup, the bigger brakes/4 pot callipers (Hispec) and the ACT twin plenum/M Adams setup. Also the Toyo T1-S tyres together with the slightly larger wheels have improved the handling.I'm now awaiting the 5.2 upgrade.

On SGirls 5.0, Mr Adams, a Tornado chip and about 4 hours totally transformed her Griff: The thing was so smooth, powerful and above all driveable, that I would rate that as one of the top mods after the safety stuff like Nitrons. Had we kept it, I wouldn't have been entirely happy unless a Tower View roll-cage had been fitted next.

Hi LA (git, I want to be there!), I think it's a small device that goes on to the key fob which when you hold it near the boot (a sensor is placed in the boot also) the boot pops open.

If it's not that then it should be

My car has a clifford alarm (concept 600) and the boot can be opened from the key fob and its a good alarm.

just fitted red poly bushes and the difference is amazing, well worth the 200+ quid.
Next are the Joospeed spring and damper set up and then off to the track

i am on the look out for some sierra cosworth front calipers (already have the discs) for a cheap front brake upgrade and then i think i will plumb in a willwood brake bias adjuster to enable the bias tweeks.

Fully adjustable allowing changes for differing driving conditions, touring, track days etc ..

The car is much more stable under braking, turns in better, holds a better line, handles bumps beter, etc etc ..

All round they are superb. I also have the adj. at the top and rose joints which I think is now standard issue from Nitron.

Joolz does a kit designed for the Griffith which apparently is different from that which you get from Nitron, mau be worth trying.

I have to say that the adjustments realy do make a difference. If you wind them up 3 clicks youreally do notice the difference. Which is something I have not had with other suspension upgrade historically.
