Really old things amazingly still in service.......
Discussion
I spent a little time working on BTCC's hospitality bus, and was amazed the thing was on a L plate - so registered around the mid 90's!! and imported from Austria I believe.
Don't get me wrong on the top deck its pretty nice, nothing like the F1 etc hospitality trailers, but far worse places to spend time
But couldn't believe how old it was, when I assume there must be the funds to have a nice new one built.
So what other old things do we know of that are still in service, that should have been replaced years ago?

I work in it
Often see dos 3.1,
Solaris 2.3/5.3
Seen some software running that is as old as me
For years the local cops here were running round in an L reg escort, think it might have retired into some sort Youth / school liaisons role
Had the old style spinning light on the roof
Not seen it for a few years now

When my dad was born, my grandfather treated himself to a new Omega Seamaster. I use and wear it pretty much every day. My dad is now 64.
On an everyday note, pretty much the entire fleet of HSTs are still in use across the country. The newest of these is 37 years old and the oldest 44 years old.

The De Havilland Chipmunk our club uses for towing gliders most weekends is approaching its 70th birthday.
At work I got fed up with the cheap Chinese bench vice without a quick release, so I took my own in to use. Whilst giving it a bit of a clean it up, I noticed the year of manufacture on the side; 1917!
About eighteen years ago we had a family trip to Norfolk, and rented a motor boat on the Broads. Whilst returning the boat my Dad mentioned to the owner of the boatyard that he had rented an old sailing yacht for their honeymoon in 1955. Dad remembered the name of the yacht, and the owner said, they still had it and it was still in use and was over 100 years old.
