Went on a bit of a walk down my local goose gathering site this evening, and took a few shots (nearly 300 in total!!), here is the pick, I'm happy with these, all shot on D70, 18-70 lens (kit lens), Hope you like!!
Any suggestions/comment welcome, these are my first decent shots with my new D70!

That's a good start TP. Combined with your squirrel adventures, you might want to consider adding a telephoto, eg 70-300mm, to your armoury...?
My only other comment is that for the goose taken into the light, try popping the flash up - it will do very good fill-flash and throw some light into dark foregrounds.
What fun lies ahead of you

there seem to be a lot of one legged ducks and geese about in my pictures recently.
I paid a visit to martin mere wildfowl reserve on saturday, specifically to practice taking shots of (not at) birds.
I quite like the first one but a black duck in dark water and i errr well forgot to check the camera settings before i took it too.(hence all the pactice i suppose)
edited to say actually it doesn't appear quite as dark on here, quite odd.
