Opinions on these. I'm not a massive fan of fake walnut even though I've had the car over 6 years. I like the knurled aluminium Bentley esque type. Views? And best place to get one?

FYI the Wallnut is real all be it veneer although I have seen some that are covered in vinyl. I bought my replacement dash from TVR-MADs in Yorkshire The chap was pretty helpful with tips and for the Steel ones £138 inc post is a bargain.

Thanks Indigo. Well...after owning a few chims over the years I never knew it was real walnut.....thanks for the pointer to TVR Mads. I'll have a browse!

I fitted the classic Leven stainless steel dash a few years ago and thought it updated the look of the car. Not sure if you can still get them, looks doubtful.

I had a basket-weave finish alloy dash in my W reg Chimaera in 2017 that was factory fit (last 3 digits of VIN on the back is the giveaway)

It was an option from about that time so you may be able to get one from a breakers. That's where my car ended up 3 months later.

Chap who bought it from me in June 2017 had never had a TVR before. Browsing the ebay listings in September I saw my old dashboard with instruments for sale. As I said, it was factory alloy (I took this photo):

the next month, this appeared at the same breakers along with ads for the interior, gearbox etc:

At least he'd done about 1500 miles in it.... frown

And since this thread is about dashboards, the lower dash section too. For £240 you could have one hand-made new I'd have thought!
