Highest mileage W204?

I've always ran high mileage cars for commuting to work contracts including an Audi S3 to around 220k miles and a 320d to similar so I know with a bit of care certain cars can go on forever with not much money.
I was offered this car in px for a 2007 Seat Leon FR that stood me around £1800. Welcome to the 430k mile 2009 Mercedes C220 cdi, yes that's right four hundred and thirty thousand miles, and there is no service history whatsoever...
It drives remarkably well for the mileage! I've had the oil and filters changed and the transmission fluid aswell, plus a thermostat and all 4 injector seals and bolts becuse one of the injectors was leaking. Next on the list are the very tired shock absorbers and various bushes.
Apart from the floaty boaty suspension I just can't believe how well it drives, the 5 speed auto box is smooth even when cold, there's no warning lights and even the air con works! The back seats don't look like they have been used same for the passengers seat, I took the car with next to no paperwork so once the V5 comes back in my name I'll be getting the history from my local MB dealership, should make for an interesting read.
Unfortunately the odometer is showing 131k becuse the chap who I got it off bought it without doing the necessary checks, got it home and nearly fell off his chair when checking the mot online, he just wanted rid of it after finding out the true mileage. He was honest from the get go about the mileage and that's probably why there isn't no service history with the car. Anyway, I'm hopefully going to get the mileage corrected back to whatever is recorded on the Ecu if I can find someone to do it before the next mot in November, it should be around 440k. Its a shame people resort to doing this as I think there is a market for cars with such high mileages, it feels like such an achievement! And it would be so easy to spot the error, the mileages have been correctly recorded at every mot.
Does anyone know of a W204 with higher mileage than this? The plan is to keep it running and hopefully get it to 500k and beyond

That's impressive for a 2009 car. Wouldn't be impressed if it was a 90's E-class as they seem to be built for infinite mileages.
What does a 4330k mile Merc go for. Is it worth because potential buyers believe if it's got to a high mileage it's more than capable of another few hundred thousand. Or does it make it almost worthless in terms of saleability

After the first early morning jaunt across the M62 the car performed well, its quiet and comfortable at motorway speeds, fuel economy seems to be where it should after fitting the new thermostat and addressing the leaking injectors.
Can't remember the last time I drove a 5 speed car and this car seems like it really needs an extra gear, with cruise set to 80mph it sits at exactly 2500 rpm and the red line is 4000rpm, seems high although is still relatively refined at that speed.
I may have found the business card for the previous owner who I think did most of the mileage, he was/is a packaging salesman which ties in to my theory that it was a motorway hack just used by one person. I'm going to email him and see if I can get any info on the car, fingers crossed!

Whilst the car's ability to take the miles is impressive, think of the driver, that equates to an average of 43k miles per year. If you take an average speed over the life of the car as 50 mph (which is high but assumes primarily motorway), then it is around 860 hours behind the wheel per year.
if we use a 48 week year (we all have holidays and christmas....) , that equates to 18 hours a week, or roughly 50% of the working week (OK, I know the 38 hour working week is a myth, but.......). Whilst is says a lot about the penetration of virtual working practices, perhaps more prosaically I hope the seats are comfortable .....................

I had a W202 C240 estate for 7 years, I took that from 83 to 260k in that time. I did crack 40k miles in one year and that felt like most of my waking hours were taken up by driving on the motorway! God knows what it must have felt like doing 80k in one year!
That looks an awesome example. If you were feeling flush, you could change the drivers seat out and noone would be none the wiser!
Service History wise: I would say, that when you are putting that sort of mileage on the car, you generally don't have the time to piss about going to a main dealer for what is routine servicing. When I had the C240, I was doing an oil change every other month - I didnt bother logging it, because I knew I was stripping any value from the car by piling on the miles.

I think there might be some main dealer history as the car was previously registered in a company name, so hoping all the servicing got put through as expenses via the main dealers. I would be amazed if they carried on getting it serviced at a dealer past 300k though.
