Strange question for the BIBS
Discussion
I have had a phone call from someone in Belgium that wants to buy one of my cars, He wants to come over, buy it and take it back with him, the only trouble is that the car is MOTed but no Tax or insurance (on private land).
What I want to know is can he tow the car and be legal as it has no Tax or does he need a low loader.

From memory.....
If the car is towed in a manner whereby it needs someone to steer, it is still classified as a car and tax/insurance is required.
If the car is towed without a driver using an A frame or Dolley, then it is officially a trailer. No tax/Mot/Insurance required. However, any parts being "used" while towing e.g tyres etc must be legal.

That's right, in a nutshell if it isn't under control, can be classed as a trailer, ie on a dolly or a frame.
