I love the idea of a retractable spoiler but they seem very complicated. Purely out of curiosity, I began a search to find out if it is possible to add a motorised spoiler to a small hatchback but I didn't find much except videos of people showing off their porsche spoilers🤦🏻‍♂️. I would like to know if it is possible and if anybody has seen one first hand.
Thanks for the replies.

Purely aesthetic purposes. I realise that there isn't much function to one of these

There are plenty of people who put wings and splitters and air dams on cars as a styling exercise. Typically for rear wings they seem to use a pair of flat frames screwed to the car and a wing screwed between them at four points. I guess there's nothing to stop you replacing two of those with pivots and connecting the other two to a pair of linear actuators. It would be a small project compared to some of these extreme makeovers, but still a lot of work. I'm sure you'll find online communities and meetings IRL if you look for them.
