Are you a member of the L7 Club? If so, they're a great bet for good value trackdays with other Sevens. Calendar here: https://www.lotus7.club/whats-on?field_event_categ...

Theyre not that great value really, L7C day at Brands GP is circa 50 quid more than lotus on track for the same day. Infact whilst we on this subject, I'm not quite sure how L7C thats not in it for pure profit can charge more than a proprietary orgaiser for some of its events.Michael.

Given L7C only do 6-8 events a year, they may not be able to get the same bulk discounts that other providers who run more days do?
Thats a fair point and I could udnerstand that but I've not heard L7C say that when other people have asked why their events are more costly.

They're Caterham-only sessions and there's always the risk that there may not be 100% take up, my understanding is that the higher price enables the club to commit to arranging the days with a reduced risk of running at a loss, not with an intention of making a profit as such. Meteor Motorsport do some great clear ones and I believe may be able to supply carbon too: https://www.meteormotorsport.com/
Company owner Simon Rogers is a great guy - probably well be worth talking to?

I was at Goodwood with Opentrack at the beginning of February the Monday right after it snowed and it P***ed it down all day, luckily I had my spare set of wheels with soft compound Khumo's. I don't think the Toyo R888R's would have been a good choice with all the standing water, it was trying to go sideways at any given opportunity as it was
Still had a great day and Opentrack are a good organiser. I did notice that above 110mph you get some rain circulating into the cabin with the half hood on but not enough to get you wet.
I've got the clear aero screen from Meteor which I use when it's dry and it's definitely the way to go, I went with a clear one because some people had said if you've got lowered floors and the carbon aero screen it can block your view of the front wheels.
My next track day is at Goodwood on the 20th of May

I just ordered a clear Aeroscreen from Meteor motorsport this morning with 2 convex mirrors. I've found that I don’t like the centre mirror as it's right in your field of view.
There's no better experience on a warm day and they're the best performance upgrade you can make. Adds about 10% to your top speed.
