I’ve seen that several people here have found sources for new outer rings. I need 2 for the 15 x 8.5 wheels. I’ll also need the special (10 point ?) socket to split them.

Can anyone make a recommendation, either here or private message?

There’s no source in the US that I can find. These are going onto my 420 SEAC. I’d love a set of 16 or 17 x 9, but this is what i’ve got to work with now.

Thanks!

I don't know if they still do it. Image wheels. Made a set of outer rims for me when I accidentally took a piece out losing the back end in the wet on splitting the rim , used a combination of snap on sockets. And cheap multi spline sockets knocked on with hammer crude but worked. Image wheels used on outer rim as template. WWW.IMAGEWHEELS.CO.UK

Bought the parts needed from SRR https://www.srrhardware.com/ They ship internationally.

They can also supply the sockets needed, but cheaper ones are available on Ebay if you want to save a few $/£'s.

If you are going to change the rings and bolts anyway why not angle grind off the bolt heads?

Then stick in 12 point ones.

Well, the bolts (and nuts too) are in new condition, for starters - but your point is well-taken. If replacements are made they won’t be with oddball fasteners - and if they become sacrificial I’d prefer a bit of fun with the grinder over 120 shots at busted knuckles.

I’ve decided to go to 15x9 - anyone know what lip depth that corresponds to?

So all this info helped a lot. Thanks to all the responders. Before and after pix will get posted when there’s a finished “after”. Still undecided on polishing the centers or painting to match body or painting black. Car is an “almost” black420 SEAC. .

To summarize what I found.

SSR has BBS aluminum lips with the 30 bolt pattern that will fit the OZ 15” barrel (BBS is just a touch large so it fits over the OZ barrel, but OZ will not fit BBS, too small)

FelgenFuchs has OZ in Radinox and Aluminum, as well as hardware for valve stems and rim bolts.

I found no need to have anything custom made by Image wheels, but good to know I could.

The 15” drum accounts for 6” of the assembled wheel’s width, so to go to 15” x 9J I needed 3” lips.

The existing wheel bolts were gold, so 12 point chrome bolts with fresh nuts will replace them.

Center caps by Leigh Jones. They look great!

15” aluminum lips to make (2) 7J and (2) 7.5J, 4 painted center caps with OZ stickers, not TVR and 120 gold 12 pt bolts and 120 10 pt nuts are now surplus. All in good #2 condition once the old silicone is cleaned up.

Adam Hart has OZ lips! ;^)

Tony if you have anything in 16" let me know, as I have no spares in that size, and if I get a ding it will be a big problem. Even a ddogy one that needs a refurb or straightening will be of interest.
