Looking for one do it all device to maintain both car and bike batteries. Was going to get a CTEC ready to go - and then saw it is not recommended for bike batteries. Another one I spotted that does show suitability for both is the accu-smart 4A. Some of my batteries are pretty small such as MSX125 and some are much bigger like Mustang.

Any recommendations ?

Expensive but I'd get an Optimate - the 5 or 6 would be more than up to keeping a car battery up, and gentle enough for a bike.

My charger from Lidl does cars and motorbike batteries.

Had it a few years and no issues with it, even fully recovered a totally dead battery for my Discovery.

Are you looking to actually charge the batteries (from flat) or maintain charge, such as on a infrequently used vehicle?

A CTEK MXS 5.0 will maintain batteries up to 160Ah or charge from 1.2-110Ah.

I have a couple of old optimates I have had for at least 10 years + I use. One on a bike and the other on a car and never had any problems with them maintaining a charge when I lay them up for long perioids. Ones an optimate 2 the other a 3.

I have an optimate, a CTEK 5.0 and a cheap one from Lidl or Aldi.
All three of these have car and bike settings and all have been used on my bike and my cars without issue.

I have the MXS 5.0 for my car, van and bikes. As long as the bike doesn't have a Lithium battery.

Also, all mine have the CTEK Comfort Indicator leads fitted.
