Lucid Dreaming
Discussion
Spoke to a chap I know who claims to be able to do this and gets up to all sorts in his dreams.
Anyone here tried or can do it?

Yep, do this all the time.
Once, I agreed with my brother to 'meet' in our dreams at his place of work (where I'd never been) and for him to show me where he kept something that I couldn't possibly know where it was. He showed me where they kept the coffee - and when we discussed it the next day, it was right!
Spooky or what?!

Don't know about lucid dreaming but If I've been on a bender for a few days, I get that terrible sleep paralysis thingy.
You mean sleep apnoea (spl)? Stop breathing and wake up just before you die ? I get that , frightening.
ps. I deleted your annoying smiley
No, sleep paralysis, where you wake up and are not able to move. Different thingy.
PS. Keep your mits off my smilie.

I think I get this a least a couple of times a week, I feel like I'm far underwater and I have to swim upwards to get to the surface and then I wake and I'm usually very out of breath. Not sure if this is just a dream rather than a medical condition though.
I can lucid dream very easily if I have a few hours to spare in the morning, I wake around 6AM most mornings and then if I concentrate on a old bloke I see in my dreams sometimes I seem to enter a old house on a american type of farm he lives in then I ask him questions and he points me in the right direction but never tells me the answer (git!). I just put this down to my subconsious generating a figure that I can understand. I really enjoy talking to the old git though

That is seriously weird.
Did you actually meet in the dream? (both of you did the same things?)
