Following on from the man-bag/rucksack/briefcase thread, what do you carry around with you on a day to day basis, mainly during the week?

Thinking about it, and the need for a bag or not all I ever have on me are house-keys (car-keys if I'm driving), phone and wallet.

Bloke in my office walks in each morning with a small brief-case and I swear I've never seen him go near it during the course of the day. So I'm wondering what's he actually carrying in it. confused

What do you carry about with you?

Surface Pro in padded case, wireless headphones in case, notebook, few pens, papers if I was working from home the evening before or over the weekend, bottle of water, work pass on lanyard, some painkillers, shoe horn, shoe polish, cloth, cufflinks, sunglasses.

That's what's in my work backpack right now (sans banana and sometimes lunch which would also be in there).

I would also carry wallet, keys, personal phone, work phone.

Even the thought of carrying a pen around never really occurs to me. hehe

"Keys, wallet, phone, watch" is my morning checklist.

If I'm taking lunch to work I'll take it in a little rucksack, and if I'm carrying that I'll throw a brolly in it.

Just in case you need to flee the country at a moments notice?

Normally; Wallet, phone, keys, headphones. Addition of a roll of poo bags if I'm with the dog/having forgotten to take it out of my pockets from last time I walked him.

If I'm working out of the office; laptop in a leather sleeve, charger, notebook, pen and reusable bottle of water.

Used to work with a bloke who walked a mile to the office every day and carried a leather attache case with him. As far as I can tell, he brought his packed lunch in it each day. When he drove though, he still brought the case. No idea why he needed that much stuff.

Over here it's a legal requirement for foreigners to always have their passport on them. Failure & in the clink!!

Having said that the ability to flee at a moments notice is useful!

Phone, keys, wallet. Three pats before I walk out the door.

Quite often AirPods too.

That's pretty much me but i would add reading glasses and noise cancelling headphones for watching TV shows on the train.

Just phone, keys and wallet.

If I'm going to the office I do have a rucksack as that will have my computer, passport and miscellaneous rubbish that I need especially with a MacBook.

Watch, wallet with debit card/credit card/cash, keys, sunglasses, phone.

If I'm going out to work I'll take a notebook and pen too.

It's odd that I could do without a watch, cards and cash most of the time as the phone does their jobs. But I often leave the phone, but rarely the others.
