My girlfriend is 19 and looking for one of these as her first car, and wants one by the end of May.
Anyone know of any deals at the moment?

Broadspeed and drivethedeal would be good starting points - she could then ask her local dealer to price match. Bear in mind they may not, thus going to the broker might be the only way to get those bigger discounts.

New A1 is a very new model so deals will be thin on the ground. Looks like a broker might get you £2k off.

Why isn't she buying one?

I would suggest :-

She only wants the car for a fixed period of time
She wants to budget monthly for the car
Her needs may change in the future so she doesnt want tied in to an ownership model

Careful, that sounds way too much like common sense.

That's exactly why, plus her company contributes some money each month towards a vehicle, so leasing makes sense.
