997.1 fixed ducktail spoiler & black Fuchs alloys
Discussion
From what you are describing, you may be interested in a CSR by RPM Technik.

One of their models is the 997 Retro, which includes Fuchs and a ducktail spoiler, along with some serious mechanical reworking.
They have also recently done a centre-pipe conversion on their 996 Evo model, and I believe it is available on other models too.
I am the owner the 997 Gen1 in black and gold (number 002), had it 5 years, and I am very pleased with it.

JZM quoted me for this, £2,835 + VAT for 19" Fuchs & £ 815 + paint + fitting + VAT for the ducktail.
So near £5k plus your pipes & wrap.
Did you go ahead with it?So near £5k plus your pipes & wrap.
Unless you're my wife in disguise.....in which case, no dear..... I would be better to spend the money on our next holiday together....

I've been thinking about doing exactly this. £5K sounds about right to get it done properly i.e with genuine Fuchs rather than the knock-offs.
My car is silver, I was thinking black Fuchs with silver petals and the RPM carbon fibre ducktail in clearcoat rather than painted in body colour. Maybe some kind of bonnet and roof stripes.
Damn, I'm talking myself into it again. It obviously makes no economic sense but I can't entirely dismiss it as an option. I think the 997 lends itself really well to the retro look.

And a very lovely thing it is too (Matt, you brought it and yourself along to the DW Performance cars and coffee morning last year). Once my turbo itch is scratched I’d seriously consider buying one. www.csrporsche.co.uk

the advantage you'll have doing the CSR vs some bits to make it look familiar to the Sport Classic, is that the CSR has it's own character and no one will feel you're making a poorer copy, but a better version of the car you have.
Also - have you actually seen the Sport Classic? I would be wary of trying to do anything that tries to imitate this car as the details are extensive.

it will also serve you better I would think come resale.
I'm assuming that, if I do it, it will be purely for pleasure. I wouldn't be expecting to get any of my £5K back. Most likely the car would be worth the same, or less, unless I found an enthusiast buyer with the same tastes are me. Reckon I'd be refitting the old wheels and bootlid and selling the Fuchs and ducktail for what I could get.Not ruling it out though!
