Last night some numpty pulled out six feet in front of us in a 20 limit. I watched the guy pull up to the junction, no indicators and he slowed toward the line and then pulled straight in front without looking.

We were doing about 15mph as I had started to slow as he approached the line.

Us (in Range Rover) OK bit stiff this morning, car needs new front bumper and a couple of parking sensors and foglight. The Golf we hit needs new front wing and front door and front wheel was bent in due to height of impact. His passengers didnt want any assistance we offered to call ambulance as they seemed in a bit of pain mainly due to the lack of any seatbelts!

Anyway, turns out the guy is Spanish, Spanish Car with Spanish insurance. Has anyone experienced a claim such as this against a Spanish Insurance Co? He signed a note with his details on it stating that it was his fault and produced the insurance docs.

Is it going to be worth the hassle given the limited damage to our car and potential loss of no claims?? I have a sore back but doesnt seem major.

Thanks for your help.

Glad that you are OK!
My dad has claimed off Spanish & German insurance companies in the past (both times they got confused on roundabouts).
The claims took a bit longer to be processed than in the UK but no real problem as the other parties both admitted liability.

From experience of SWMBO and daughter ... do get yourself checked out by a doctor. Report accident to police as injury caused (bodily pain). SWMBO has bad neck from accident over 30 years ago ... it took 20 years to show up. Daughter still suffers numbness in arm following low speed accident five years ago - Streaky
