I have Weller 14 x 6 wheels at the moment and I want to use alloys. What recent production Alloys will fit. The stud pattern is the same as current Fords and Peugeots?

i have a set of alloys il be fitted to my geep as soon as i can afford the rubber to go around them, they are from a peugeot and fit direct on with a small set of spacers! idealy you want a set of wheels with ford offset! i believe that's 4x100 off the top of my head but i could be wrong! il have a check in a bit!!
hope this is of some help!

This is my experience with Alloy Wheels. With my last Jeep, I went to my local tyre dealer who sold me a set of Alloys. They were Ford fitment, but designed for a FWD Escort, consequently the offset was different to that of wheels designed to fit RWD. Then I had to buy spacers to clear the front struts. All I can say is, my Jeep handled lovely with the steel 14" rims, and an absolute b*!#~>d when the alloys went on. So much so, that after a few weeks, I took them off and put the old steels back on. No doubt other JOC's may well have had a better experience, and I'd hope they will tell you so.
Depending on the look you want to acheive, I have seen an advert, in Classic Ford Mag (I think) selling ally's for RWD in large diameters. Of course it also depends on the size of your wallet lol.
I'd like to say look on Weller's site for their wheels, but I e-mailed them last year wishing to place an order for their 15" steel rims, but never heard anything from them.Of course I realise my 'mail may have got lost in some system somewhere.

That'll be a Ford or Peugeot wheel with an offset of ET20 or less on a 4 stud 108mm PCD. Wellers have threatened to go back into production but I believe they're selling all the 13" Formula Ford wheels they can make at present.

Check out www.mjloffroad.co.uk/

for their offroad alloys.

Trouble will always be the offset.

You are gonna need wheelspacers for most options I imagine. The only exception may be the Capri wheels but I think they were all 13inch.

Good luck anyhow.

Knew I'd seen it somewhere !!
Australian Superlite Wheels...range from 6x13" up to 8x15" and according to their advert in Classic Ford Mag, 16" rims are now available.
Contact Performance Wheels Ltd., Leicester 01530 517920... e-mail sales@performwheels.co.uk www.performwheels.co.uk
Looks like they'd have the CORRECT offset for MkI/II Escorts...but of course make sure first.
Good Luck

I would steer of any fwd alloy , the Geep I am currently repairing for my friend has a pair of Sierra steel rims on the back with 175/14 tyres even these require 1" spacers , the fronts are cortina steels and these are very close to the front struts.

Deep dish alloys with the correct offset are the only way to go if you want to get away from the inevitable Wellers .

Wheel spacers remind me of my mates mini van back in the late 70's that shed a wheel when one of the extension studs failed and it all went pear shaped......mind you check out those MR2/Ferrari thingys they have some serious spacers on the back to fill out the bodykit but it can only put undue strain on bearings etc......

Hi there all you lovers of alloys, bling and all of that dazzling stuff!!

Simple question:
If there's so many folk putting alloys on to their Jago machines what happens to all of those LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL WELLERS?
(I'm still hunting for 1 or 2 or 3 or even 4)!!
