Help propshaft
Discussion
Depending on the set up it will be either crossflow at front and Escort rear or if running a OHC then Cortina (or if 5 speed Sierra) front and Escort rear. Now there are several different flange set ups on the Escort axle depending on its original spec.
The only real way of getting a prop shaft the correct length and fitment is to have one made by one of the many prop shaft manufacturers (our closest being GKN at Leek).
Insist of greaseable U/J's as these can be pumped full of fresh grease (with a grease gun) on a regular basis to prolong the life of the joints.

Quote....."If utilizing the Ford 1600 or 2 litre overhead camshaft engines, you may well find that the propeller shaft from the Cortina or Capri will fit the Escort back axle." ....unquote.
