Sacrilege or the future?

I though the point about being able to drive them in major city centres in the future may particularly be relevant. Who knows what restrictions will be in place in the near future.
Guess you’d need an EV and ICE version to have all bases covered.
That resonated with me too. Quite a few cities over here have or are banning Diesels from their centers. The war on co2 will of course keep on this path targeting lower and lower emissions. It was seeing all the beautiful old dials, dead, doing nothing that made me a little meh about it. That said, Works claim they'll swap them out for functional yet matching new clocks. Guess you’d need an EV and ICE version to have all bases covered.

Its going to be a sad world in the future when people go to museums or special events to hear and see an internal combustion engined car in motion ....but its coming
Im enjoying driving my V8 for as long as I can
Absolutely, we'll probably be lynched by vegan eco kids in a few years.

The ability to burn bio-ethanol can make ICE cars effectively carbon-neutral. The idea has been abandoned in the mainstream because running all the cars on bio-fuel would mean fuel crops take capacity from food production, but when you're just talking about a handful of classic exotics that argument largely goes away. You can convert most cars to run on bio-fuel, it's mostly a case of replacing lines and seals to account for its more corrosive nature. Hopefully legislation will allow the V12s to live on.
The restriction of ICE cars in city centres is actually not because of CO2 but local pollutants like particulates and NOx. I confess I don't know how bio-fuels stack up on that front.
