i was actually at my local dealer yesterday for my MOT. On the next table, a guy was dropping his M4 off for service. He told the service advisor that it had a map on it and to make sure it's not overwritten. The service advisor said the only thing they do is connect to the car to reset the service lights. They wouldn't rewrite to the ECU unless it was a service recall item. Takes too long and not worth their while for every car.

You'll be fine

Unless you have a warranty with BMW in which case more than likely they will invalidate it.
