Good advice. It's a shame there isn't a manual way of checking the oil as it takes an age to check the car when starting a trip from cold.

My old Tuscan had a dip-stick on the dry-sump oil tank fixed to the base of the filler cap under the service flap, a quick dip and you could tell if there was enough oil, simple and sensible.

How are the cam lobes lubricated ?

The wear seems limited to the last cam lobe, the others look ok.

Is there a spray bar fitted to oil the lobes? There does't appear to be one in the photos?
