Volvo S80 2.4D Auto - Thoughts??

Looking at a S80 2.4D auto for a mixture of regular 30 mile trips and monthly 200+ miles trips towing a trailer. Comfort and reliability is key. There is an unloved one near me (it's gold!!) that I am think about. Welcome, thoughts, experiences and alternatives!

Have a look there. A 2007 will be a 183, but that thread contains a wealth of info about the D5/2.4D engine and crucially the auto box. Happy reading!
