I am the process of ordering a book.
However it appears that i cannot select a normal P+P, and that they are giving me a months prime membership.

Has anyone else had this ,and how quick should i get onto them to cance the 7.99 cost ( due 11 May)

I think the cancellation is pretty instant. Just make a note in your diary so you don't forget.

I`ve had this when ordering something,Amazon are crafty and you get trapped into joining Prime. You can immediately cancel the prime membership.
Mind you its a bit long winded process so make sure you print or record the result.

I think once you've used Prime a few times, it's actually very good and saves money.

You can do a non-select of Prime, but they make it difficult, There's another thread about this.

My mother went through this. Frankly I think she just wasn't reading what was in front of her.

It is very easy to cancel

My wife signed up for it a few years ago by accident, and we are still in it. Wouldn't be without it now.

If you buy regularly from Amazon then Prime is a subscription that's well worth it especially as you get the telly service thrown in too!

Absolutely. Well worth it for the free next day delivery alone, 2 orders a month and its paid for itself, before you’ve watched The Grand Tour and a few films and documentaries on the TV service.

Probably the best value subscription service I have to be honest.

I signed up twice by accident. The first time I browsed prime video and it was full of crap so I just cancelled. The second time was a month before the grand tour was due to start and there was a lot more choice so I have kept it.

I wonder how many prime members signed up because they accidentally accepted the trial and didn't bother/know to cancel.

I un-intentionally signed up to it...

Took the free delivery, watched the first series of the grand tour and as many films as we could manage... And then cancelled.
