Hi.
I inherited these two propellers a few years ago and I don't know what they are from.
There is a very slight possibility that they might be torpedo related.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Andy.

IIRC they are off a yacht of some description, when you power them up they spin out and act like a prop, when you power off they slip back to become streamline when not required under sail.

This. 'Folding prop'. Used by sail boats. Arrived in the 70's. Those look like the sort of prop from that era.

There might be a pitch number stamped on it. The Yacht fora will have more details.

Thanks for the helpful replies.
I thought that they were probably from a yacht or similar. What put some doubt in my mind was that my late father did a lot of work on torpedoes, they are of the very highest quality, and the input shaft doesn't appear to match a drive shaft from an engine.
I'd previously shown them to an experienced professional boat building neighbour and he'd not seen them before.

What does the end of the shaft look like?

Wouldn't really make sense to have a folding torpedo screw, they're not really for coasting.
