I have suffered for years from a drooly dog who loves nothing more than resting her chin on the lowered rear roof and drooling onto the folded window, and boy can she drool. I decided I needed to design a solution. £20 worth of leatherette and several hours cutting and stitching and here's my solution. I hope she appreciates my efforts

Is it actually attached to the car, or just resting on the folded hood..?

It's hooked into the roof hoop hinge points, strapped under the folded window and trapped into the boot lid seal

That is very nice. The standard folded roof looks rubbish imo.

I think this is a great idea. Did you make up a pattern for it or just chanit as you went along ? I I would love to try something like that but in all honesty wouldn’t know where to start.
Best regards

It was 'make it up as I go along' but I have several photos of the build stages and parts. I'll post them here tomorrow

Great thanks, I would be very interested in seeing them and might even have a go although doubt whether it would come out looking like yours as my sewing skills haven’t really been tested.
Best regards

Here you go

Forward hooks

General build design

Measurements (however these are dependant on how low your roof folds)

Wow , that’s some designing. Very impressive. Thanks for taking the time to give details.
It’s well beyond my capability after seeing the work involved. I can see a need for one and would buy one if they were commercially available.
Great work!
