Something Special - 10 year plan
Discussion
Having recently dipped my toe into the world of EV I've decided that for day to day duties it's a perfect fit. The problem is as a committed PH'er I know I'm going to start hankering after something with a bit more character for occasional use so now find myself scouring the page of PH and Autotrader.
Here's the plan, starting with a £20k budget what should I buy as a starting point that will offer fun and character whilst minimising depreciation and not bankrupting me with maintenance costs. I'd then be looking to upgrade every 2 years adding an additional £10k into the pot.
Requirements are for occasional weekend drive for the hell of it and some longer weekends away in the UK a few times a year with the wife so 2 seats is fine. Not interested in track days and the car needs to be special rather than ultimately fast. FYI, I'm also 6.4" which will immediately rule our some options I'm sure.
So what would you suggest based on today's prices as a list of cars for the next 10 years, starting at £20k and changing every 2 years whilst adding £10k into the pot each time?
Initial thoughts for the first purchase are 996 C4S, Maserati Granturismo 4.2 but open to suggestions.
Cheers

Lol was literally thinking 996 c4s and maserati As I was reading then saw they were your first thoughts too. In terms of special at £20k I don’t think you’ll top those! Bmw z4m would be good and is a fantastic looking car but not sure it would qualify as special compared to the others? Here's the plan, starting with a £20k budget what should I buy as a starting point that will offer fun and character whilst minimising depreciation and not bankrupting me with maintenance costs.
