I’ve just passed my test and for my first bike I have got myself a fairly low mileage ZX6R. I’m really happy with the way it rides, not so much with the way it looks. It’s the yellow colour scheme and as with many of these the wheels are really scabby.

I can’t decide if I should go Yellow, black or white when I powder coat them.

What are people opinions?

Cheers

My opinion is top lurking, and white if you can be arsed keeping them clean. I’m a white wheel fetishist but I’m not someone to clean wheels. If you’re like me, yellow.

Eta

Or black, which I hate but with white or yellow strips added.

Black, then you don't have to worry about cleaning them so much.

Agreed. Black looks good when cleaned but not so bad when covered in brake dust or chain lube.

Yellow would need to be exactly the right shade or it will look wrong.

White would look out of place on that bike.

Black, white on a Yellow (that Yellow) will look sh*t.

I was kind of thinking black with yellow rim tape. It’s pretty much the only mod I’m going to do to the bike so need to make sure the colour is going to be right.

I even came across a yellow bike with grey wheels.

I only passed my test a week ago and I’m loving it. The people I have met are great. Just need the weather to warm up a little bit more

laurence llewelyn bowen your clearly no. White wheels on a yellow bike.... My god.

Black would work but my zx6r is like a dark, dark grey. That works.

This is the one occasion the fashion police should be stepping in.
