Astra 1.6 8v injector troubles?
Discussion
Alright guys got a question for you, My cars recently started to misfire I’ve found that the injector on piston 3 is clogged thought duck it might as well get a new set. So I am asking if I get a set of high performance injectors for my car and a pump later it’s not going to cause any damage?
I don’t need the “what’s the point though it’s a shed” or “just use a bit of old hose” suggestions I need real suggestions please.
If I get bogger injectors do they need to be mapped in straight away or can I do it later when moneys not so tight or should I just chuck one in from a scrappy until I can afford the full injectors kit, pump and map.
Appreciate any help.

Don't waste your money, get the right ones, even correct ones can be mapped & improve power if that is your thing, even a standard fuel pump can too.
FWIW Previous car e36 328 - std power 193, mapped, other mods a plenty, std injectors & pump 241 bhp.
No you will be completely wasting your money.

Stick with standard spec. There's no reason to assume you will ever need a higher flow rate, and if you do fit bigger injectors you'll have to get the ECU remapped at the same time even to achieve the existing power levels.
I suggest cleaning your existing injectors rather than buying ones from a scrap yard. You have no idea how long they have been sitting and what condition they're in. Far better to get the ones you have cleaned and tested. It isn't expensive.
