Have you seen this.....

Not exactly the same but close enough......

I think the consensus is you would be mad. However I have a similar age RRS, whihc has not been ruinous (yet) albeit disel.

About £3500 if I am reading the price/ ex rate right?

I would buy it on the proviso it will either
1) Ruin me
2) I can leave it at the side of the road and buy another car

The novelty wears off after writing it 17,000 times?

Anyway, if you're in the states there are surely other thirsty petrol 4x4/SUV options? Perhaps not as nice inside though.

I have clients that have these & some have been great & others not so great but I will say none have been ruinous.

More like £4,500. And that’s before sales tax which would add a further £300ish.

Yes, I read that article.

It’s the 223k miles that concern me. Amazing that it must have had the thick end of 100,000 liters of gas through it!

On the plus side if it's reached 223k miles it can't have been too ruinous for any of the previous owners surely?

Nope.

Anyway, the dude told me he didn't have any maintenance paperwork or records (clearly someone selling cars from their garage). Even I'm not that stupid!
