Has anyone had experience of 1st service prices yet? Just been quoted £585 for a minor service excluding brake fluid by Porsche Centre Guildford. Brake fluid quote was £185 vomit

Anyone done any better than that?

There are two levels of service prices, looks like you got one of the higher OPC's. I went to East London instead of Hatfield recently and saved around £200 in total. Ring around.

I paid £560 for a 718 S before I sold it back in December.

It was "minor service and brake fluid replacement which would be priced at £560.00 fully inclusive of parts, labour and vat"

Portsmouth are generally cheaper than Guildford IMO. I'm half way between both, so not much in it for me.

Tried Brooklands?

IIRC my quote for a 4 year major service on a 981 Cayman S was about £800 from OPC Cambridge so £500 for minor seems steep.

According to the Porsche website: https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/p...

982 minor service pricing is £625 including brake fluid. £120 additional charge if outside of the service.

Could ask why they are different to the quoted price on the website. Otherwise an indy might be cheaper.

Reading have quoted me in excess off £700! Nice of them to reduce the labour rate from £190 per hour plus vat to £150 plus vat! Thanks for the Tonbridge recommendation, i have friends over that way too!

I paid £440* but provided my own oil. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

*That doesn't include the brake fluid change (£95).

The saving grace is two year service interval - and IMO you can delay things like plugs and belts if you're not maxing out the mileage and not stuck in traffic every day doing a short commute.

For my 718 S 2 year service including brake fluid change I paid £724.69 incl VAT (£603.91 excl VAT) at Guildford last November. Air con service was on top of that which I declined

After initially offering £750, Portsmouth reduced to £625 for a service and brake fluid just at the point as we were ending the call. I took it. It sounds like i can improve on that just a little more though!! :-) Thank you all for your input, hopefully I won't need to revisit this conversation for 2 years now!
