Query re Help to Buy and Lifetime ISAs please
Discussion
Thanks for reading - I have a quick query re Help to Buy and Lifetime ISAs.
I know it's not possible to open a 'Help to Buy' and a Cash ISA in the same year.
What is the situation regarding 'Help to Buy' and 'Lifetime' ISAs.
I've looked at numerous official sites which seem to imply you can have and pay into both simultaneously but don't actually say it outright.
I understand that the Gov. Cash bonus towards a house can only be used from one of them.
My younger daughter has a 'Lifetime' ISA with Skipton BS - she has two years' worth and has just paid in £50.00 this new financial year as a 'placemarker'
So, a simple question please.
Can she open a 'Help to Buy' ISA (before the November deadline) so that she could use this eventually towards a property and allocate her Lifetime ISA towards eventual pension drawdown?
Thanks again,
David
