E92 320d - really need help!!!!!

2008 E92 320d. Has had the DPF removed and the EGR also, both coded out. New MAF fitted.

Car is stalling after 30 or so miles. Loads of white smoke when accelerating, some when idle.

Car blocked the DPF twice hence the removal. All this and the car is still stalling after a short time of driving.

Mechanic has done all this, and the injectors have been tested and are ok, still no further forward in finding what the issue is.

Really need help on this one as I seem no further forward than I was at the start!!

So you had a DPF keep blocking up & rather than find the problem you just removed the DPF!

Well done! NOT!

Your car is over fuelling to the extent that it isn't burning the diesel which is the white "smoke" it is actually un-burnt diesel, smell it to check.

Either that, or as above the turbo is burning off oil on its bearings.

You need a better garage either way.

Have had the turbo checked too, boosting etc.

Also when the car is running (very rarely lately), the turbo is boosting.

Thought the problem was originally the DPF blocked, 144k on the clock. Otherwise I wouldn't of removed.

I know its over fuelling, question I am asking is why?

Spoke with 2 BMW mechanics who both said injectors.

Mechanic took them to a guy who specialises in injectors, tested them off line.

Not sure how exactly, only know the outcome.

BMW techs are convinced its injectors but Im being told they are fine.

Any ideas?

Why didn’t you find a replacement DPF rather than removing it? Now that we know how toxic diesel particulates are it’s not really a good thing to remove a DPF...

The map.. is the car over heating ? If it's trying to regen it may be dumping diesel in. If it's not mapped correctly it'll keep this up dpf or no dpf

Check your oil level, if it is high drain some off to see if it smells of diesel.

Only removed the DPF due to issue of car stalling, will put back in when I sort the main problem. The car hasn’t been overheating.

The car was doing all this before the DPF was removed so leads me believe it wasn’t the problem.

Car has had no other engine trouble etc, literally just lost power one day and has been like it ever since.

Get your HPFP checked out, in fact get both that and the LP checked out.

Low pressure as in low pressure fuel pump, it supplies the HPFP with fuel from the tank.
