Remember this image ? Well I just won a trophy last night for best print of the year at our camera club with it !

For those of you wanting to improve your photography I can really recommend joining a local camera club as you'll meet other people with the same questions and have an opportunity to learn directly from those who've been around a bit.

Well now, if there's an image that looks like it deserves an award...

What size final print and did you print yourself, et cetera?

WELL DONE THAT MAN!

I used to really look forward to my Wednesday nights out at Basingstoke Camera Club. I must be a boring old fart!

The print is 15"x10". Scanned into Photoshop 7 from an original 35mm transparency. The output resolution is about 380 ppi and printed myself on Epson premium semi-glossy paper.

I joined a local camera club. full of old men who don;t know anything, judges that can't judge and woman that you would run away from. Doubt I'll go back next year. I've improved because my friend does pics and we try to out do each other

You could save a generation of quality and get a Cibachrome print made directly from the tranny.

Unfortunately I did have to add a little colour to the scene in Photoshop, and I'm not set up to do Cibachrome in my bathroom.

Picture was taken just round the corner from Harriet Costello school so you never know...
