Surely you could get a similar spec, one owner, better colour (silver?) car for a similar amount?https://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Po...

It’s too much money....
Exactly....
That’s the only reason that a car doesn’t sell. It can’t be as if it’s too hidden in the the Sunday Times motoring section or the classifieds of Exchange and Mart... we all know, ALL of the cars which are available, but then we ALL know that 95% of people who buy second hand get from a dealer rather than selling privately ( eg the lovely white 991.2 at £138 k), for many reasons , which means that AS SOON AS you have bought the car, you have IMMEDIATELY lost, what (?), 15 k if you want cash from a dealer , or perhaps 10k on SOR...
The same applies to all these GT cars, look we are not TOO stupid, if we somehow have the means ( excluding pure chance wealth) to purchase one of these cars, but then the same nouse, prevents a lot of us from flushing that cash down the tubes to someone trying to extract overs. There are of course the .5% whom can write of such an immediate loss... which is why I’ve decided that , how ever much fun it may be, too much will be tainted by the worry of mileage and the hit on the value..so I’d rather buy a nice car at half the price and lose much less of the value by using it... and then trade it in against a more sensibly priced GT car...
With the new batch of 991.2 RS due soon , that will obviously slap the values of the cars we yearn for, square in the slats ! You can see the GT values being chipped away at at a steady rate - it’s abundantly clear.
The cars are not for sale for any reason than to secure ‘overs’ in a lot of cases, but there is an imbalance, I’d say, despite cheap credit, and the driving force can only be the huge over supply, which is being added to by the jewel in the crown, the upcoming final 1.2 RS cars, which will naturally weigh on residuals, which watchers will have seen.
So I’m disappointed, that I won’t buy a car TIL the overs are history...
