Graham.J's right. Go for a brisk walk or a run.

If you are in town. Get out! If you can't, go to the park.
If you are in the country, go to a quiet place. Sit, deep breath and relax. Hopefully the sun will be out and lie back, listen to nothing but the birds and breath.

My trick was to revise *everything* over the previous two months, much of it in the Easter holidays (6 hours a day!) by reading my original notes, making sure I understood them and rewriting them in precis style. Then I'd read the relevant notes about an hour before the exam just to bring it all back to the surface. It all went in just long enough to splurge it out on paper. But you do have to *understand* what you're reading; if you just copy stuff parrot-fashion it's pointless.

It takes a finite amount of time to get information in. I could do rewriting in three 2-hour chunks a day: 10am-noon, 2-4pm and 8-10pm.

So you've got 6 hours. Prioritise - you'll have to choose the parts you think are bankers. Don't panic, just start and go as far as you can without hurrying.

i have kind of come to that conclusion now. i have done quite a lot of work recently and if the right questions come up on monday morning then i should be able to pass easily.
there is stuff that i havent gone over properly, but i cant do it all now as i will get burnt out, and i dont want to be burnt out going into my exam.

thanks to everyone for your help

Don't know where you are in the country but if you are near the sea nip down to your local surf shop and hire some gear for the day, ideally a bodyboard as you can actually get some results without tuition and get yourself out into the sea.

Whenever my head ends up a bit mashed like that I go surfing for the afternoon and it works a treat.

Not burnt out, true (eg don't stay up all night cramming) but you can hold much more in your head for a short time than you can remember properly. When I went into my exams, fresh from a memory 'polish', it felt like my head was overflowing, but in a good way. You just have to pour it all onto paper in the right order - 3 hours of solid writing!

I had only one unexpected problem. For one paper I had to choose 5 from 8 questions. Trouble was, I could do all 8!! So I had to spend a few minutes running through each subject in my head and trying to work out which ones I could do the very best on. You may laugh but it was actually very stressful, probably as it was the one thing I hadn't planned for!

Anyway, good luck, revise intelligently, pack info in steadily and keep going constructively until you need a break. As you say, keep your head clear, don't drink but also don't over-work.

Frisk and Graham J are right you need to exercise and then rest some - relax listening to music or whatever you like.
