Does anyone know whether they ever made one? I'm sure I read an article a few years back about a customer who had actually spec'd one!

Yes, they made at least two. I have seen one (and 2sheds has seen both IIRC) but I don't think that the factory delivered any; basically too much power for the Griff chassis?
