A taxi.

If you are only driving 28 miles max a week a car is hardly worth it. Being single you can then spend that £30k a la George Best.

Are you that Jim bloke from Friday Night Dinner? wink

I would have though some sort of hybrid a.l.a. Toyota Prius or Lexus equivalent (if the former is a bit too Uber for your tastes).

RS4 Avant, M3, Porsche 911, Lexus ISF, C63 AMG are the obvious ones.

After reading your desperate replies [and some filthy PM's !!! no I wont wax my moustache.] Im leaning toward a relatively new BMW M240i.

Cheaper than a M2, newer than an RS3....still dunno..maybe a 435i...or a LR...discovery sport....mmmmmm...

Thanks.

How about a Mk2 Jag?

Totally usable
Reasonably nippy even by today’s standards
Utterly sublime

How about a more modern Jag like the XKR?

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

You could even fit the Lab in the back as unlike human passengers it doesn't need legroom. smile

And FFS OP don't buy something nearly new like the M240i. Even with your mileage the value will drop like a stone and you'll just blend in with every other car on the road. If you're only doing 100 miles a month what do you care about MPG etc. Make those few miles an event every day.

Funny enough my Dad (middle-aged, drives 3-4 miles per day, married) has just bought one of these albeit the 5.0 Supercharged version and I couldn't think of a more apt car for someone like him/the OP.

Im still no nearer to pulling any sort of trigger, except the one, pointed at my own head..

Yes that jag is quite nice. As is that RS3...Or this one;

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Ugh....how to decide.

Out of all of these, given my intended usage, I wonder which one is likely to devalue the least?
