Discussion
I got a fault show up when I started my car yesterday saying Engine fault needs repair. I connected my odb reader and it gave the following codes... P0342 P0341 P0343 all power train and B2AAA. Can anyone help tell me what the problem might be? The code had gone this morning when I started the car but appeared later on in the day.
Car is Citroen C4 1.6 VTR petrol 2014
Any help is greatly appreciated. I am no pro so laymens terms please

That is what any of us would do.
Nobody can say for definite what it is without some inspection and testing, and even then it may not always be definite. Especially on something French !
This is why there are mechanics ( although I appreciate.....some of these are as knowledgeable and capable as the person posting the question here, which is not a poor reflection on yourself, just a very very sad reflection on so many so called mechanics these days )
I would always be a little dubious of generic OBD stuff too, as all too often they can be wrong or misleading vs a dealer level scanner.
But you have what you have, the cam position sensor/wiring/trigger needs investigated

Thanks so much for your replies. The information is greatly appreciated. I will have to see if I can get around to finding where it is and check the area around it as mentioned. I don't want to spend a load of money on something if it's not serious or going to cause any damage.
I'm no mechanic but I am prepared to try and resolve before taking it to a garage.

Maybe you should use your google-fu & find out if it can be tested before you order a new one, the plug may have fallen out, the wire to it could have broken, all would give the same 3 codes.
This ^ IME
Thanks again for your input guys. I have just had another look to check the wiring but can't find anything wrong. The only problem is I can't find the location of the cam sensor on my car. Anyone give !e Amy info on how to find where it is please?
One more thing I did notice, is that when I remove and replace the oil dipstick tube fault goes away. It does return after a while though. Does this mean anything to anyone?

Pic of the engine might help us identify which one you have, or the VIN number.

Swap these sensors to see if you can move the fault from bank 1 to bank 2 with an 8mm socket and wiggle out is all you need
after clearing those stored codes , then you have confirmation of the faulty sensor if it is indeed a faulty component, I have highlighted them for you , they are identical sensors, if so dont buy cheap and just replace the offender
