Can the combined efforts of PH manage to give me a valid Land Rover part number for a 94 Griff 500 ECU. The one I've got and the one other Griff I've looked at both have LR stickers on the ECU's showing part number AMR2175 however LR (two dealers) are both saying the number is so out of date they can't cross referance it to give a replacement without knowing what Land Rover Model and chassis number it came off which I obviously can't give.

But TVR modify the ECU by fitting a different chip and socket to take same. So getting a LR unit is not the same as getting a TVR one. For a start how would you like a 115 mph speed limit?

Talk to Mark Adams and he can probably due a repair/exchange.

steve, motorvation have got my existing ECU which is knackered and beyond economical repair the existing chip set is ok and can be changed over but I need to source a replacement LR base unit, hence the question. I know my local LR dealer very well and can get a healthy discount but they can't help for 3 weeks as it's not shown on their local computer system and the factory are having a new network installed and so can't help till that is complete.
